Accessibility Statement

Last updated: April 21, 2026

Mastery Pathways is committed to making our continuing education platform accessible to all physical therapists, including those who rely on assistive technology. We believe that quality clinical education should be available to everyone in our profession.

1. Our commitment

We work to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level. WCAG 2.1 AA is the most widely adopted international standard for web accessibility and addresses the needs of people with visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor disabilities.

2. What we have done

  • Semantic HTML structure on every page so screen readers can navigate content
  • Keyboard navigation for all interactive elements
  • Sufficient color contrast for text and UI elements
  • Resizable text without loss of functionality
  • Alternative text on meaningful images and diagrams
  • Closed captions on all video course content
  • Downloadable text transcripts for audio and video lessons
  • Accessible PDF certificates and transcripts

3. Known limitations

We are continuously improving accessibility. Areas we are still working on include:

  • Some older course videos do not yet have professionally produced captions — auto-generated captions are in use while we complete manual review
  • Certain interactive course elements (drag-and-drop knowledge checks) have keyboard-accessible alternatives but may not be screen-reader-optimized
  • Some third-party embeds may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA

4. Assistive technology compatibility

The Service is designed to work with modern screen readers, including:

  • NVDA (Windows)
  • JAWS (Windows)
  • VoiceOver (macOS, iOS)
  • TalkBack (Android)

We test regularly on recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.

5. Reporting an accessibility issue

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on Mastery Pathways, we want to know. Please email accessibility@masterypathways.com with:

  • The page or course where you encountered the issue
  • A description of the barrier and the assistive technology you were using
  • Your preferred contact method for follow-up

We aim to respond to accessibility reports within 3 business days and to resolve blocking issues within 30 days when feasible.

6. Alternative access

If a specific course or feature is inaccessible to you, email us at accessibility@masterypathways.com. We will work with you to provide the content in an accessible alternative format at no additional cost.

7. Review schedule

This statement is reviewed at least annually and updated when significant changes are made to the platform.
