This Privacy Policy describes how Mastery Pathways (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our website and continuing education platform. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us.

- Account information: name, email address, password, and professional license information
- Billing information: credit card details (processed and stored by our payment processor, not us), billing address
- Course activity: courses started, completed, quiz answers, time spent, and certificate records
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device, pages visited, and cookies
- Communications: any messages you send to support or in course discussion areas
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide and operate the Service, including delivering courses and issuing certificates
- Process payments and manage subscriptions
- Send transactional emails (renewal reminders, receipts, certificate delivery)
- Send product updates and CE reminders you can opt out of at any time
- Improve course content based on aggregate learning data
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests
3. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers who help operate the platform (payment processing, hosting, email delivery) under confidentiality obligations
- Your employer or group administrator, if you are enrolled under a group subscription — limited to course progress and compliance data
- Legal or regulatory authorities when required by law or to protect our rights
- A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
4. Cookies and tracking
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to deliver the course experience. We use analytics cookies to understand platform usage. You can control cookies in your browser; disabling essential cookies will prevent the Service from functioning.
5. Data retention
We retain account and course-completion records for at least 7 years after account closure to comply with Alabama Board audit requirements and for your benefit in the event of a future board audit. Billing records are retained as required by tax law. You can request deletion of non-required data at any time.
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of information not required for legal retention
- Export your course completion data and certificates at any time
- Opt out of marketing communications (transactional emails cannot be opted out of while your account is active)

7. Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify you promptly of any breach affecting your account.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn we have collected information from someone under 18, we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be emailed to active subscribers. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
